Highlights of Posters on Biologics and Rheumatoid Arthritis From the ACR/ARHP Annual Scientific Meeting held November 10–15, 2006 in Washington, DC

Faculty reviewer: Eric Ruderman, MD
One of the largest venues for rheumatologists to share new clinical findings and updates is the annual American College of Rheumatology/Association of Rheumatology Health Professionals (ACR/ARHP) meeting, which was held November 10–15, 2006, in Washington, DC. This guide summarizes the findings from significant poster presentations of studies that used biologics to treat rheumatoid arthritis (RA). This guide is divided into the following sections: general RA, tumor necrosis factor in RA, abatacept, adalimumab, etanercept, infliximab, leflunomide, rituximab, and new agents.
